MY STORY
We are God’s Poetry, yet it is very difficult to recognize God actually has specific words He wants to share with us. Granted, we do our duty in the daily devotional readings, but when the book closes or the podcast is over, where are you? Are you any different? Are you meeting the world through God’s lens?
As I was reading Dancing with Jesus by Kay Blake (I will leave a way you can find out more information about this book since I have mentioned it so many times), I came across this scripture.
Ephesians 2:10: "We have become his poetry, a re-created people that will fulfill the destiny he has given each of us, for we are joined to Jesus, the Anointed One. Even before we were born, God planned in advance our destiny and the good works we would do to fulfill it! “ ( The Passion Translation)
I cried. This is me. God took me by the hand and said, “Come, let’s dance.” For the longest time, my life was so wrapped up in a vision of expressing creativity through music and artistic forms. Now God opened my eyes, saying I was the art form, the poetry to share His Heart .
The other verse which spoke freedom to me can be found in both the Old Testament and the New Testament. The first writing is in Joel 2:28, but I will take the quote from Acts 2:17-18, ‘‘In the last days,’ God says, ‘I will pour out my Spirit upon all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy. Your young men will see visions, and your old men will dream dreams. In those days I will pour out my Spirit even on my servants—men and women alike— and they will prophesy.” (The New Living Translation.)
My heart said YES. I wish to hear Your Heart, Oh God, and share Your Love and Truth and Voice.
I pray the words I offer to you, my readers, may become a Rhema word for you to discover your art, your poetry.
